To start my magazine, I made and 8.5 X 11 sheet and made my background blue. Then I added a bar towards the top of my page, to give it a multi-color look. After doing this, I added my main picture. My main picture is the picture of me throwing a softball. I used the quick selection tool to take out the background of the picture to leave just my body. To this picture, I changed the contrast to make the colors "pop" more. After this, I started adding my little article pictures and article teasers. I did this by creating a text box and typing article teasers to grab the reader's attention. Then I added pictures that related to these specific article teasers. I added a glow to them and also an inner glow and a drop shadow. I also put a stroke around them to seperate them from the background color. I used more than three pictures, which was the minimum. I used text in a shape when I wrote my "101 softball facts." I used good fonts to make certain things pop more than others. I also used kerning in the "inside scoop" layer.
